Geothermal Energy Source

Geothermal energy is a renewable energy source that harnesses heat from within the Earth's crust. This heat originates from the decay of radioactive materials and the residual heat from the Earth's formation. Geothermal power plants extract this heat by tapping into underground reservoirs of hot water or steam. The heat is then used to generate electricity through steam turbines or to directly heat buildings.

Geothermal energy offers several advantages, including reliability, sustainability, and minimal environmental impact. Unlike solar and wind energy, geothermal power plants can operate continuously, providing a stable source of electricity. Additionally, geothermal energy production produces minimal greenhouse gas emissions and requires relatively small land footprints compared to other energy sources.
